Artist Hilton Alves spent a week sharing information on the career of artist. He worked with the entire school. First on planning and then completing a mural on the outside of the library media center's walls. Each student chose a sea animal and then painted it on the mural. The school secured funding from the Marshall Reality Grant.
Dr. Seuss Night
The school community (faculty, staff, parents, grandparents and children) came together to celebrate Dr. Seuss. Adults read stories and performed a play..."One fish , two fish , red fish, blue fish" for the crowd. Older mentors played games and did activities with the younger children.
The entire school teamed up for buddy class activities. The older students mentored the younger ones in a variety of activities: science, math, reading, art.
Clifford has been our reading mentor this year.
